With ChromesthesiaMODERN COLOR explores cerebral, thought-provoking themes within their songwriting. While the track “Chromesthesia” explored the idea of our varying human perspectives and expressions, “Shade” hones in on our common inability to overcome our own fears and doubts in order to do what is best.
“Shade” is about the uneasy feeling of being disconnected with yourself – about knowing what you want but constantly struggling to get past your own doubt and fear to get it. We shot and edited the video together with that vibe and feeling in mind,” states drummer/vocalist Vincent Nguyen.
Chromesthesia was engineered by Erol Ulug at Bright Lights Studios in Santa Ana, CA. “Chromesthesia” and “Shade” are both available for download via MODERN COLOR‘s Bandcamp page.
