The life of the late Steve Strange, one of the founding partners of international live music agency, X-Ray Touring, will be celebrated by friends and colleagues at the BOWL FOR RONNIE Celebrity Bowling Party, benefiting the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund (www.diocancerfund.org), on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at PINZ Bowling Center in Studio City, California. Strange, who passed away from cancer in September of 2021, was an avid bowler, and this year’s bowling event coincides with the first anniversary of his funeral last year.

Steve Strange was a legendary figure within the music industry, personally representing Eminem, Coldplay, Queens of the Stone Age, Snow Patrol, Alice in Chains, Jimmy Eat World, Kodaline Rob Zombie and countless other artists during his more than 30-year industry career.  Strange’s company, X-Ray Touring, will be sponsoring a bowling lane at the BOWL FOR RONNIE as a gathering place to honor his life and legacy.

The Dio Cancer Fund will be inaugurating the new Steve Strange Award to be given to the individual celebrity bowler with the highest overall bowling score. This new award will join the Dean Schachtel Award, named for the late Dio Cancer Fund board member, which has been awarded each year to the individual bowler with the highest overall score. All of the trophies and medals awarded this year will bear Steve Strange’s photo as a further tribute to him.
