uchess of darkness Brocarde descended onto Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights blood-red carpet. The horror influencer and tastemaker was flown to Los Angeles for a week of VIP experiences and exclusive tours of some of the mazes before they opened to the public. Brocarde walked the blood-red carpet on opening night and got Sharon Osbourne’s thoughts on the new Prince of Darkness scare maze.

Brocarde’s collaboration with Hollywood Horror Nights is another magical moment in her career as an artist and tastemaker. This year has already been phenomenal for rising star Brocarde, with the launch of her debut album, Good Attendance at Sunday School, and she continues to straddle the worlds of music and horror effortlessly. Her cinematic storybook videos about haunted locations fill the silence between music video releases, and she continues to dazzle some of the world’s largest brands.

“Before I even arrived in Hollywood, it felt obvious to me that, with the launch of his new scare maze, The Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne was going to be the man of the moment, but even a metalhead like me underestimated the outpouring of love he has received from horror fans. The past few days have seen wait times for his maze hit the four-hour mark, with many spending their whole evening in line waiting for the Ozzy experience, and I can promise you that it does not disappoint!” Brocarde continues.

“I couldn’t help but wonder how it must feel to experience The Prince of Darkness maze as Ozzy’s wife and lifelong partner. If I, as a virtual stranger, was so moved, how many emotions must have been running through Sharon’s head that evening? The scare maze actors are visual representations of Ozzy throughout the years, and she would have recognised him in each era. I kept coming back to the same answer: this is what Ozzy would have wanted, and he would have loved it, so she’s continuing her lifelong mission to keep celebrating his amazing legacy,” Brocarde concludes.

The maze was an almost ethereal experience and so moving; you could feel the love that the creative team had poured into capturing Ozzy in all of his wonderful madness. In the cold light of day, with no jump scares or scare actors, it felt like the Church of Ozzy — a place to come to pay your respects. It almost conjured a tear.

Earlier this summer, Brocarde conducted a séance beneath The Apex Stage at Download Festival, followed by a ghost-busting extravaganza at Inkcarceration Festival at the Ohio State Reformatory.

Brocarde’s 2020 single release, “Love Me ’Til I’m Beautiful”, title track from her EP, featured drums by KoRn’s Ray Luzier. Ray praised Brocarde’s unique vocal style, and was enthralled by her ability to capture extreme sweetness and mass aggression in her voice. He described her writing as a dynamic, theatrical adventure and hailed her as a future star. Brocarde and Luzier teamed up anew for Good Attendance at Sunday School’s first single, Seven Sins, which premiered May 15th.
